Undefeated at bantamweight, John Lineker faces Michael McDonald in July

The Brazilian and the North American face each other on July 13, in an event that marks the Octagon's debut in the state of South Dakota

Coming off two consecutive victories and not knowing what defeat is since moving up to bantamweight, Brazilian John Lineker will have a big challenge ahead of him on July 13th, in the co-main fight of UFC Fight Night South Dakota. On the date, Lineker will face former title challenger Michael McDonald.

At 26 years old, John Lineker has a professional MMA record of 27 wins and seven losses. After quickly climbing the flyweight rankings, but always having difficulty making weight, Lineker decided to move up to bantamweight and has already won his two fights in the new category. In his most recent performance, the Brazilian dominated Rob font last Saturday (14), at UFC 198, in Curitiba (PR).

Michael McDonald has a record of 17 wins and three losses. The North American, just 25 years old, had his chance at the title and challenged the then interim bantamweight champion Renan Barao in 2013, but ended up defeated. Shortly afterwards, at the end of that same year, McDonald stepped away from the Octagon due to personal problems and only returned last January, when he defeated Japanese Masanori Kanehara by submission at UFC 196.

UFC Fight Night South Dakota takes place on July 13th, a Wednesday, in the city of Sioux Falls (USA). In the main fight of the night, the TUF champion Michael chiesa faces Tony Ferguson, in a duel that will move the top of the light weight category (up to 70,3 kg).
