World boxing champion, Tyson Fury He made a point of going public and apologizing for the recent prejudiced comments he made against transgender people and Jews.

The fighter declared that he saw transsexuals as “freaks of nature” and accused Jews of brainwashing the planet. Faced with the terrible repercussion of his words, the Englishman released a press release to retract his comments.

“I apologize to anyone who may have been offended by any of the comments I made. I said some things that might have upset some people, which, as a Christian man, is not something I would want to do. Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am in no way racist or intolerant, and I hope the public accepts my apology,” said the fighter.

In November last year, Fury won multiple world belts by beating Wladimir Klitschko in a fight held in Germany. He will face the Ukrainian again on July 9th, in Manchester, England.
