Last Wednesday night (30), the UFC made official several fights that will make up the card for the historic UFC 200, an event that will take place on July 9th. The highlights were Conor McGregor x Nate diaz in the main attraction of the night, and José Aldo against Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight belt. But it shouldn't stop there.
UFC president Dana White confirmed that the duel between Aldo and Edgar should not be the co-main fight of the night. “When the card is finalized and announced, people are going to go crazy,” commented White, in an excerpt reproduced on the website of the “Saskatoon Star Phoenix” newspaper.
For Aldo x Edgar to be relegated to the third most important fight of the night, there is room for another high-profile fight on the UFC 200 schedule. Among the current Ultimate champions, only three do not have a fight scheduled at the moment: Miesha Tate (female rooster), Rafael dos Anjos (light) and Robbie Lawler (welterweight).
