The triumph by submission over the “namesake” Alex Cowboy delivered more than just the first victory as a welterweight for the American Donald Cerrone. Cowboy was awarded one of the “Performance of the Night” bonuses by the Ultimate organization for his performance and took home US$50 (around R$200, at current prices).
In addition to Cerrone, the other winner of the “Performance of the Night” bonus was fellow American Chris Camozzi. The participant of the 11th season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter won the award for his devastating knockout, in just 26 seconds, over Joe Riggs on the night's main card.
The last bonus of the night was given to Lauren Murphy and Kelly Faszholz. The rivals faced each other in a fight held on the preliminary card, but they had an action-packed duel, in which Murphy came out victorious. For their performance, the two also take home R$200 each.
