UFC open training sessions are usually more of the same: athletes warm up, simulate some light activities alongside their coaches and end their participation with a photo session alongside their teams. However, every now and then, a fighter decides to innovate and steals the show at this event, which opens the fight week's agenda.
At UFC Fight Night New Jersey, whose open training sessions were held this Thursday (28), at the UFC Gym, in New York (USA), the role of “protagonist” was played by heavyweight Josh Barnett. Alongside a masked companion, Barnett put on a real show of pro wrestling (telecatch, in Brazil) and raised awareness among the audience.
At 38 years old, Josh Barnett has a professional record of 34 wins and seven losses. The former UFC heavyweight champion faces Ben Rothwell in the main fight of UFC Fight Night New Jersey, this Saturday (30).
