Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Pitbull - Winner fights for the belt
UFC president Dana White announced during the UFC-117 press conference that the winner of the fight between Jon Fitch and Thiago “Pitbull” will be the next challenger for the organization's welterweight title.
The current champion of the category, Georges St Pierre, will defend his belt in front of Josh koscheck probably at UFC-124, on December 11th and the winner of this clash will face the winner of the duel at UFC-117.
If GSP defends his belt against Kos, the winner of the duel between Fitch and Pitbull will have the chance of a rematch against the Canadian, as both were defeated in the judges' unanimous decision.
