Rich Franklin must treat fracture with surgery

After beating Chuck Liddell in the main fight of UFC-115, last Saturday, Rich Franklin is expected to be away from the Octagon for a few months. This is because the former middleweight champion suffered some fractures in his left arm when trying to defend a kick from the “Iceman”. The fighter's manager, J.T. Stewart, revealed to the American website MMA Junkie that the athlete will undergo surgery and have some screws inserted to better treat the injury.

“Rich will go to the surgeon to treat the injury. I think they’re going to put a plate and a couple of screws in his arm to put it back together,” Stewart said.
