Ninja submits Paraguayan at Bitetti Combat

The seventh edition of Bitetti Combat recently ended at Fundição Progresso, in Rio de Janeiro. The event featured very busy fights with beautiful knockouts and submissions. In the main fight of the night, Murilo Ninja was quick on the trigger and needed just over a minute to submit Arturo “Tutu” Arcemendes

After having his fight at Shine cancelled, Murilo Ninja arrived at the last minute on the card and put on a show. Facing Paraguayan Arturo “Tutu” Arcemendes, the Brazilian started the fight with a scare due to a strong right handed by his opponent, but Murilo recovered well and quickly took the fight to the ground. Using good jiu-jitsu, Ninja quickly passed guard and submitted “Tutu” with a katagatame at 1:37 seconds into the first round.

Fábio Maldonado knocks out Jeffie Gibbs

Facing the Dutch Jeffie Gibbs, Fábio Maldonado started the fight by working on his powerful boxing, while his opponent tried to take the fight to the ground. After the first round of advantage for the Brazilian, Gibbs managed to conquer Fábio's back in the second round, but already tired he did not take advantage of the situation. After the fight returned to the feet, Maldonado returned to boxing, taking Jeffie to the ground and ending the punishment with ground and pound until the referee interrupted.

Miltinho finishes with an armbar

Milton Vieira complained about the change of opponent at the last minute, he was hit by a taxi three days before the fight (remember here), but that wasn't a problem for the black belt in his fight. Facing the Peruvian David Cubas Ytanaque, Miltinho wasted no time and soon tried to take the fight to the ground, but ended up falling underneath, giving up mount. Showing good flexibility, the Brazilian swept and tried to work on his jiu-jitsu. After a first round advantage, Miltinho was in the second round evenly matched and when he was on the bottom on the ground, however, he quickly attacked the gringo's arm and ended the fight with a beautiful arm-bar.

Cristiano Marcelo loses in controversial fight

Against Alejandro “Mandarina”, Cristiano Marcelo controlled the fight against the Costa Rican. After winning the first round, the leader of CM System started striking and ended up in a loss. After a frank exchange of blows, the Brazilian felt it and retreated. The referee was hasty and ended the fight, declaring Mandarina's victory by technical knockout. Cristiano's team contested the decision. Check out the other results:
