After just one fight in the biggest MMA event on the planet, the young man Sage Northcutt has emerged as a potential star in the Octagon, and has already been touted by many as Dana White's new “darling”. This week, however, Northcutt participated in a TV show in the United States and, instead of speaking or showing off his fighting skills, he appeared kneading a frying pan.

But stay calm: Northcutt did not become the successor to Uri Geller (who gained fame in the 70s by allegedly bending cutlery with the power of his mind alone). In fact, contrary to what the illusionist/paranormalist claimed, the UFC fighter was denting the frying pan using his brute strength. Sage's achievement, however, is no less impressive than Geller's.

At 19, Sage Northcutt has a professional record of six wins and no defeats. The fighter was discovered by UFC president Dana White during the first episode of the new reality show “Dana White, looking for a fight”. In his Octagon debut, Northcutt beat Francisco Trevino by technical knockout in just 57 seconds. The American will fight again on December 10th, when he faces Cody Pfister.
