In the world of sports, rituals both on and off the court are common – or have you never noticed the fact that Jon Jones always crouching into the octagon or even the countless tics of tennis player Rafael Nadal? Because the UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey also has her own quirks, but, unlike the aforementioned athletes, they mainly include what the blonde does after achieving her victories.

“There are a few steps. When I go to the medical tent, it's my first quiet moment, when there aren't many people looking at me. So I take off the belt and put it on the table, and then I still have the drug test and the press conference. When I get back, I take a shower before going out to eat the chicken wings, and this is my first real alone time. It's that moment when you look in the mirror and ask yourself, 'What did I just do today?'. And then I take what I call a 'happy shower', because I can't stop laughing because I'm so happy in the shower. And then, that's when I eat the chicken wings. So those are my three moments”, revealed Ronda, in an interview with the official newspaper “UFC Tonight”.
Among all the times she took her “happy bath”, Ronda remembers that the most memorable of them was right after the massacre over Zingano cat, to date the fastest victory of his career. “The happiest moment in the shower to date was after the fight against Zingano cat. It took a while for me to stop laughing and get out of the shower. I was very happy, because there is a lot of stress involved in a fight,” she said.
Ronda will have the next chance to repeat her victory ritual on November 14th. On the date, the champion puts her belt on the line against the also undefeated challenger Holly holm in the main fight of UFC 193. The event will take place on Etihad Stadium, a football stadium with a capacity for more than 70 thousand fans, in Melbourne, Australia.
