In the duel between former UFC fighters, at WSOF 24, best for Jon Fitch. In the event, held in the early hours of this Sunday (18), the North American defeated the Japanese Yushin Okami and won the right to compete for the organization's welterweight belt. With his usual dominant performance, but without pleasing the general public, Fitch dominated his rival for five rounds and won the judges' unanimous decision (Watch the video of the fight below).

With the victory, Jon Fitch gained the right to compete with another former UFC fighter, Jake Shields, the organization's vacant welterweight title. The belt has not had a dome since the Brazilian Rousimar Toquinho He was stripped of his title as champion for holding back too much of a submission against Shields himself.
Brazilians in action
The 24th edition of the WSOF featured four Brazilians in action and two of them left the cage with his arm raised. Black belt Vinny Pezão submitted veteran Matt Hamill in the first minute of the duel. Featherweight Alexandre Capitão defeated Saul Almeida and secured the right to be the next challenger for the featherweight belt.
The country's defeats were Washington da Silva and Rodrigo Almeida who lost to Colton Smith and Bruce Boyington, respectively, both fights were decided by the judges.
