After repeatedly suffering with his weight in the flyweight division, the Paraná native finally moved to the top category. However, according to him, the changes stop there: Lineker hopes to maintain the same level of competitiveness in the 61 kg division as he had in the 57 kg division.
“I feel great at this weight, especially when I'm training. Bantamweight is my original category. I feel good, confident. I can't wait for my debut. I'm going to show that going up in weight won't affect my strength at all. My opponents will not be stronger than me. I'm going to make some noise in this category, just wait,” the 25-year-old fighter told the North American website “MMA Junkie”.
Lineker will face Francisco Rivera at the event held in Las Vegas (USA). The North American is coming off a resounding victory over Alex Caceres, and before that, he lost controversially to the veteran Urijah faber, in combat in which he showed good performance.
