After his fall was avoided, the Brazilian, who had already fallen with an expression of pain, stood up and put his hand on his collarbone, very close to his neck, and stopped defending himself. Himself Max Holloway, noticing the scene, went after his very suspicious rival, but the duel was quickly interrupted by referee Herb Dean.

So far, it has not been confirmed the order of the injury suffered by Do Bronx or even whether the injury occurred during the fight or he had already been suffering from physical problems during the preparation for the duel. The Brazilian also received a message of support from Holloway himself, still in the Octagon. “I wanted to ask everyone to pray to the Charles of the Bronx. This is how we make a living and I wish him a full recovery,” said the Hawaiian.

With the triumph over Do Bronx, Holloway has now reached seven consecutive victories, equaling the category record, currently held by the linear champion José Aldo. The Hawaiian doesn't know what it's like to lose since the points setback he suffered against Conor McGregor, current interim champion of the division. Therefore, the “Blessed One”, as he is known, said he would like to face Frankie Edgar in your next duel. “Holloway x Edgar, in a stadium in Hawaii, make it happen!”, he said.

Erick silva sought, for the first time in his career in the biggest MMA organization on the planet, to reach three consecutive victories, but in an apathetic performance the Brazilian ended up dominated by Neil Magny in the UFC co-main event in Saskatoon.

Right at the beginning of the fight, Erick tried a spinning elbow to surprise Magny, but ended up falling underneath his rival. However, the Brazilian recovered quickly and, once again on his feet, managed the takedown. With two minutes left in the round, however, Erick was taken down again and narrowly missed being knocked out in the ground and pound.

In the second stage, more attentive, Erick managed to circulate well in the octagon and landed some good blows, but he also suffered from a good sequence from Magny. With his guard down, the man from Espírito Santo was still at a disadvantage in the following minutes until he finally managed a takedown. From then on, however, what we saw was the dominant North American to get the better of yet another round.

In the last round, even though he needed to win, Erick seemed very tired and slow, having a lot of difficulty finding Magny in the octagon. The North American, in turn, aware of the advantage in scoring until then, did not insist on going into open combat and kept the duel in a safe zone. Relying heavily on a one-hit knockout, the Brazilian was unable to find his rival until the end of the session.

At the end of the confrontation, Neil Magny was declared the winner in a split decision by the judges. The fact that one of the judges scored a victory for the Brazilian was widely commented on by journalists and experts, and generated a lot of criticism. With the setback, the man from Espírito Santo interrupted a sequence of two consecutive victories and maintained his record in Ultimate quite irregular, with six wins and five defeats.
