UFC Fight Night 73: Glover and Amanda finish and lead Brazilian party in Nashville

In a great performance, Glover beat Ovince St. Preux, while Amanda surprised favorite Sara McMann

Brazilian party in Nashville, Tennessee. In the 'land of country' they were Glover Teixeira e Amanda nunes who put on a show at UFC Fight Night 73, an event held in the early hours of this Sunday (08), in the USA.

In the main fight of the night, Glover had an electrifying duel with Ovince St Preux and beat the North American with a rear naked choke in the third round. Amanda surprised the favorite Sara McMann, former challenger of Ronda Rousey and silver medalist at the Athens Olympics, and submitted his rival in the first round.

Glover Teixeira He entered the octagon ready to recover from two consecutive defeats in Ultimate. Against Ovince St Preux and the entire Nashville crowd, the Brazilian fought one of his best fights in his career to have his arm raised in the third round.

With a solid game, Teixeira didn't take any risks with the North American's striking and worked very well shortening the distance to achieve the takedown and improving positions on the ground. In turn, 'St. Whenever Preux managed to avoid the ground fight, he threatened the Brazilian with strong kicks and dangerous punches.

Halfway through the first half, OSP connected with a kick to the Brazilian's waistline and destabilized Glover. But as soon as the North American tried to end the fight, the Minas Gerais native managed to take down his opponent and took control of the dispute.

In the second round, Glover followed the recipe from the previous round, avoided exchanging blows and used takedowns well. The Brazilian managed to dominate his rival's back, but lost his position when he tried to go for the choke.

With a solid game, Teixeira took down Ovince again in the third round. With several punches from above, the Minas Gerais native forced his rival to open up space. Quickly, Teixeira reached his back and secured the rear naked choke.

First Brazilian to climb into the octagon, Amanda nunes won the most important victory of his career. In front of the North American Sara McMann, former challenger of Ronda Rousey and a silver medal at the Athens Olympics in wrestling, the Bahian fighter put on an almost perfect fight.

In the first few moves, the Brazilian avoided her rival's takedowns and kept the fight going. But when Sara started to gain confidence in striking, Amanda surprised her.

The North American tried to innovate with a rotating blow, but was caught with a direct hit. The punch took McMann to the ground and the Brazilian didn't miss the opportunity. Amanda quickly reached her back and secured a tight rear-naked choke. Unable to escape, Sara was forced to give up the fight.

With the triumph, Amanda reached the 11th victory in her career, being her fourth in the UFC. The Brazilian's good performance also drew praise from Dana White, president of the UFC. On his Twitter account, the manager wrote that Nunes' duel 'looked great'.

Ambulance man claims another victim

Known for running over his opponents, Urijah Hall earned the nickname 'Ambulance Man' during the 17th edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show. And in front of Oluwale Bamgbose, the American made his nickname worth it.

Unaware of his rival, Hall needed just over two minutes to achieve victory. He took advantage of a kick attempt from Bamgbose to get the takedown. On the ground, he threw several punches from above until he won by technical knockout.
