In the final stretch of his preparation for the fight against Beth Pitbull, the bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey said that she considered the possibility of prolonging the fight with the Brazilian on purpose, just to increase the size of the beating in the main fight of UFC 190. Ronda's idea, however, displeased her mother, former judoka AnnMaria De Mars, who, according to the fighter, it demanded that she strive to end the fight as quickly as possible.

“She doesn’t want me to do this and she lectured me. She wants me to end this as quickly as possible. I promised her I'll be fine. I will not suffer any harm. If the fight is going to last longer, it's only because I'm punishing her more. I'm not going to purposely go in there so I don't end up killing her if I see something. But I’m going to drag things out and finish the fight in the most exciting way,” said Ronda, in a telephone conference held this Monday (27).

Next Saturday (1), Ronda Rousey faces Beth Pitbull in the main fight of UFC 190. The event, unique pay-per-view of the year on Brazilian soil, will also feature a rematch between Rogério Minotouro e Mauritius Shogun, the return of Rodrigo Minotauro against Stefan struve and the finals of TUF Brasil 4.
