The fight between Cormier and Gustafsson did not yet have an official date, but it had been announced in June by the Ultimate organization and the duel was expected to take place at UFC 191, in September. The information about “DC”’s injury was first announced by the Swedish website “Kimura”, and later confirmed by the main North American specialized vehicles.

It was not disclosed, however, what type of injury prevented the American from putting his belt on the line in September. However, the expectation is that Cormier will be ready to fight in October, when the biggest MMA organization on the planet has UFC 192 on its calendar, an event in pay-per-view which takes place in Dallas (USA).
