In Las Vegas, McGregor sharpens his wrestling for a duel against Aldo at UFC 189

With just under two weeks to go before the most anticipated event of 2015, the Irish have been preparing with a focus on the takedown game

While José Aldo still find himself dealing with speculation about the rib injury suffered during training, and whether he will fight at UFC 189 or be replaced by Chad Mendes, the Irish Conor McGregor He is already in Las Vegas (USA), the venue for the duel on July 11th, and has dedicated himself to specific training aimed at fighting for the featherweight belt.

A profile dedicated to content from the Irish challenger on YouTube released two videos of McGregor's wrestling training with coach Sergey Pikulskiy, a former Olympic athlete in the sport. In the images, McGregor appears doing training focused on MMA, with simulations of fight situations. If the practices aim to duel against José Aldo, they can be even more useful if the Brazilian is replaced by Chad Mendes, twice All American in the first division of the NCAA (North American College League).

UFC 189 takes place on July 11th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, at least until further notice, Conor McGregor challenges José Aldo for the featherweight belt. If the Brazilian is unable to play due to the rib injury, it has already been announced that he will be replaced by Chad Mendes and the duel between the North American and the Irish will be worth the interim title in the under-66 kg division.
