The week of UFC 188 events began in full force this Wednesday (10) with the traditional open training sessions, in which the card's main stars showcase their skills to the fans. Hosted at the “Interactive Museum of Economy”, in Mexico City (Mexico), the training sessions brought together hundreds of fans, who followed, among other names, the protagonists of the main fight Fabricio Werdum e Cain Velazquez in their activities.
In addition to Werdum and Velasquez, the open training sessions were also attended by Kelvin Gastelum, Effrain Escudero, Gilbert Melendez, Eddie Alvarez and Henry Cejudo. All the athletes, despite being North Americans, have Mexican ancestry and were greatly acclaimed by the fans present.
The official UFC 188 schedule continues this Thursday (11), with the Media Day, in which athletes meet the press and anticipate fight night in their interviews. On Friday (12) it's time for the duel against the scales, at the official weigh-in. Finally, on Saturday (13), the octagon will finally be the stage for the long-awaited fights and the unification of the interim and linear heavyweight belts.
