The scenario of the UFC middleweight category is cloudy regarding the next challenger for the belt. The organization's president, Dana White, says that both Luke Rockhold as Ronaldo Jacare may face Chris Weidman in the future. Rockhold, however, has no doubts: he is certain the chance will be his.

In an interview given to the “MMA Junkie” website shortly after UFC 187, which saw Weidman defeat Vitor belfort Even in the first round, Rockhold showed that he already had the opportunity, even projecting a date for the fight. “I don't know what the hell they're doing, but the title shot is guaranteed to be mine. Will happen. We will have a date soon. We will fight. I think it could happen in September, in Las Vegas”, said the recent executioner of Lyoto Machida.

Furthermore, Rockhold believes he has the ideal style to present difficulties to the champion. “I think I'm better on the ground, I'm better on my feet. I think the fight will be on the feet. Chris is tough, he's technical and he hits hard, but I have a more refined game. I move better and have more weapons. You will see a great fight”, he promised.

Even though he was confident of victory, the American was full of praise for Weidman's performance against Belfort. “Chris did what I thought he would do. I thought he would get there and dominate. I was worried about the initial steroid storm, Vitor always has that, but then he breaks down. It broke, and what I thought would happen happened. Chris has a heart. He assimilated the blows well, covered himself and responded. He did what he always does. This guy is tough,” he analyzed.
