On May 2nd, the city of Las Vegas (USA) will be the stage for what is considered the “Fight of the Century” in boxing, between the Filipino Manny Pacquiao and the North American Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, just 10 days before big event, the fight contract has not yet been signed by the fighters.

The information was released by the North American TV channel ESPN. According to the report, the point of divergence that prevents the signing of the contract is the distribution of pay-per-view, as the athletes have agreements with different broadcasters, Showtime and HBO.

Responsible for Top Rank, Manny Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum said that the contract has not yet been signed because the version he received was different from the proposal made months ago, when the fight was announced. “We agreed that we would all be signatories to the final contract, and then they sent us a draft of the agreement that excluded us. They don't want to give us a voice. They cannot act as if our original agreement did not exist,” revealed Arum.

The person responsible for Mayweather Productions (which, as the name suggests, looks after the career of the undefeated North American boxer), Leonard Ellerbe, contested Arum's accusations and assured that Pacquiao's representative is trying to change the original proposal for his own benefit.

In addition to putting the duel, scheduled for May 2nd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (USA) at risk, the failure to sign contracts also meant that no tickets were printed and delivered to fans. Furthermore, most of the seats available for the event have not even been put up for sale so far.
