According to a statement issued by the organization, “Spider”'s departure from the attraction was requested by the Nevada Athletic Commission, which inspects all UFC fights in the city of Las Vegas (USA), where TUF Brasil 4 is also being recorded. This is because Anderson is temporarily suspended after failing a surprise doping test, carried out on January 9, which indicated anabolic substances in his body.

Ultimate said it respected the commission's decision with the change. “The UFC and Globo, the broadcaster that broadcasts the reality show in Brazil, they respect the Commission's decision and understand that this will allow Anderson to focus his attention on the current situation. Anderson Silva He has been an exceptional athlete, a champion, a true ambassador for the sport, and the UFC will continue to support the fighter throughout the legal process”, says the text.

This would be the first time that Anderson would coach an edition of TUF, whether in the Brazilian or North American version. Minotauro, in turn, will have his third experience on the program: he trained in the North American TUF 8, in 2008, alongside Frank mir, and TUF Brasil 2, in 2013, alongside Fabricio Werdum. Recording for the program began last Monday (2).
