For much of last year, Alexander Gustafson had its focus entirely on the current UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones. After all, the two had recently had the “Fight of the Year” in 2013, which the champion won narrowly, and the rematch was made official for September 2014. However, the current scenario is different, and Gustafsson guarantees who isn't thinking about Jones at the moment.

This is because your focus is on your next fight, against Anthony Johnson, at UFC on FOX 14, in Stockholm, the capital of his home country. “I don't think about Jon Jones, no way. I don't have the time or energy for that. I know that Anthony Johnson will come in the best shape of your life, better than ever. I can only focus on this, it's a big threat to me. I'm not thinking about Jon Jones not at all”, guaranteed Gustafsson, in an interview with the “FOX Sports” website.

Gustafsson assured that he is fully prepared for the weapons that Johnson presents during the fight. “I did my homework. I know what to expect. I know he will come exploding, very strong in the first rounds. Then we'll see what happens. I have to do my part by staying away from his punches, and it will happen. I'm ready. This is a sport where if you land a punch, the night could be over. You have to stay ready and stay focused”, he assessed.
