New sponsor of Jon Jones and the UFC declares support for the fighter during treatment

Less than three days after his first fight as an athlete for Reebok, which is also the UFC's new sponsor, Jon Jones announced that it was caught in a surprise drug test for cocaine use and will be hospitalized in a rehabilitation clinic. Amid the whirlwind of opinions about the fighter, the light heavyweight champion's new partner announced that she will maintain his contract and support him throughout the process.

“We commend the steps Jon has taken to resolve this issue and will support him in any way possible. Jon’s relationship status with Reebok has not changed,” said the sports equipment supplier, through an official note sent to the North American website “MMA Junkie”.

In addition to Jones, Reebok also announced at the end of last year an exclusive contract for the supply of sports equipment with the UFC, which consists of producing uniforms for all of the organization's athletes. The new agreement comes into force from July this year.
