Less than three weeks before UFC on FOX 14, which takes place on January 24th in Stockholm (Sweden), the light heavyweight Alexander Gustafson, who makes the main fight of the night against Anthony Johnson, in a duel that should define the next challenger for the belt, underwent a surprise drug test at the request of the United States Anti-Doping Commission (USADA). The fighter himself released the information on his official page on Facebook celebrating the rigor in combat regulation, but took the opportunity to ask that his opponent Johnson also be tested until the day of the event.

“Sweden sent a request to USADA to come here and test me. That's how things work in Sweden. No matter where you are, you are under control, which is something I really like. I want my sport to be clean, so that everyone can compete under the same conditions. However, I would like to ask that the same tests be applied to my opponent, Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson. I want us both to show the world that we are clean elite athletes, fighting in the UFC on equal terms,” the Swede posted on social media.

At 27, Alexander Gustafson has a professional record of 16 wins and two losses. “The Mauler”, as he is known, comes from a victory over Jimi Manuwa and if he wins Anthony Johnson at UFC on FOX 14 he will qualify for a rematch against the light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, by whom he was defeated in a close decision in the “Fight of the Year 2013”.
