After another successful defense of the light heavyweight belt last Saturday (3), when he defeated Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, Jon Jones sees his name being increasingly speculated in the heavyweight division. The champion himself gave strength to the fans' desires by saying that he would face the holder of the top division belt, Cain Velazquez, in a blink of an eye. But Fabricio Werdum, interim heavyweight champion, suggested that the North American not change categories.

On his Twitter account, Werdum gave Jones direct advice: “Jon, good fight against Cormier, but it's better that you stay in your division,” wrote the Brazilian.

Werdum should be Velasquez's next opponent in a fight that will unify the heavyweight belt. The fight has not yet been officially confirmed, but it should take place in June, in Mexico City.
