“I had to rebuild myself several times. This is something that people cannot even imagine,” he said, Daniel with tears on his face. “I didn’t find my rhythm tonight. Jon is the best for a reason and he was the best fighter tonight.”

Among the reconstructions cited by Cormier, one can remember losing his medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens – he came in fourth place as a wrestler – and being left out at the last minute from the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Jones belittles crying

Although Cormier recognized his merits with tears on his face, the champion Jon Jones seemed unmoved by the fact. Asked by a journalist about what he felt, 'Bones' was emphatic.

I don't feel sorry for him, it's a combat sport. If he had won, he would be talking nonsense here. That doesn’t change how I feel about him,” said the champion.
