With the calendar complete for 2015, the Ultimate organization has already announced that Brazil will host seven events next year. So far, only UFC Fight Night 61, on February 22nd, has been confirmed, but information released by the UFC's ticket sales partner website may have “spoiled” the announcement of the second Brazilian card.

The “Hotel Urbano” website – which already sells tickets for the return of Anderson Silva at UFC 183, the middleweight title fight between Vitor belfort e Chris Weidman at UFC 184 and also the UFC in Porto Alegre – started offering packages on its official page for an edition of “UFC Fight Night” in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), on March 21st. This would be the first time that Cidade Maravilhosa would receive an edition outside the series of pay per view – numbered events.
According to additional information, released on the “Combate” channel website, the fight night would take place at the Ginásio do Maracanãzinho, the same stage as UFC 179, held last October and which featured a rematch between José Aldo e Chad Mendes as the main fight.
If UFC Fight Night is confirmed to take place in Rio in March 2015, this will be the sixth time that the city will host an edition of the biggest MMA event of all time. On other occasions, the cards were headed twice per Anderson Silva, against Yushin Okami e Stephan bonnar, and another three times a José Aldo, twice against Chad Mendes and one against “Korean zombie” Jung Chang-Sung.
