Exciting! Only in this way can the victory of Gabriel Braga PFL 3 – 2024, event held on Friday night (19), in Chicago (USA). The Brazilian was not aware of Justin Gonzalez and knocked out the North American in the best style Alex Poatán, with a left cross in the first round (see the video below).
As soon as he won, Gabriel was still in tears in the cage, remembering his father, also a fighter Diego Braga, murdered in January, by a militia when trying to recover a stolen motorcycle in Rio de Janeiro.

“I have a lot of discipline and responsibility. That's what my father taught me. That’s why I came here and left with this victory”, said Gabriel while still in the fight area.
With the knockout in the first round, Diego adds six points and ends the first round as the leader of the tournament among featherweights (up to 65.7 kg). The second round of the category takes place on June 28th and the best four will qualify for the semi-finals in search of the US1 million prize (around R$5,2 million at the current price).
Knockout like Poatan by Gabriel Braga
The fight started with Gabriel in the center of the fighting area. He worked with stomps, walking towards Gonzalez. The North American was spinning, waiting for the best moment to get closer and throw a few punches to get the takedown. The Tupiniquim athlete defended the first attack, but was taken to the cage halfway through the period.
Gonzalez hit the fence, with the Brazilian kneeling, but was unable to reach his back. With 50 seconds left in the final, Gabriel managed to free himself and returned to the center of the cage. From there, he shortened with a jab and straight to connect with a powerful left cross, which took down the North American in the final second. Braga still landed one more blow on the ground before the referee intervened and declared a technical knockout.
