Even with the new controversy surrounding the name of Jon Jones, there was a fighter who came out in defense of the current heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg). On his YouTube channel, Henry Cejudo defended 'Bones' innocence and justified the sports legend's irritation with the agents' visit for the surprise doping test.

"Jon Jones Are you innocent? A hundred per cent. It's almost as if these people want to create a story because they want to portray, continue with the story that Jon Jones is 'the monster'. From what I saw in the video, and having the chance to meet Jon, I could be frustrated. Trust me on this, I've dealt with USADA people. People I've known for years, people who have tested me for years. They catch you at a party, they catch you at dawn. I mean, it's normal to be a little frustrated like, 'Hey, man, what's going on here?'” Cejudo asked.

Still recovering from two recent surgeries, Jones still has no official date for his return to the octagon. The current heavyweight champion must defend his title for the first time against the veteran Stipe Miocic, who has not played since March 2021, when he was knocked out by the Cameroonian Francis Ngannou.
