Michel Pereira has a new rival confirmed for UFC 301, in Rio de Janeiro

With the departure of Makhmud Muradov, 'Paraense Voador' will now face the Ukrainian Ihor Potieria, Maurício Shogun's last tormentor

The concern lasted less than 24 hours Michael Pereira to stay out of UFC 301, in Rio de Janeiro. After departure of Makhmud Muradov, the organization acted quickly and summoned the Ukrainian Ihor Potieria for the May 04th card. The information was first released by the 'MMA Mania' website.

Ihor Potieria He can now consider himself an 'intimate enemy' of the Brazilian fan and the events held in Rio de Janeiro. At the UFC 283, held in January 2023, the Ukrainian knocked out the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) Mauricio Shogun and left a bitter taste in the MMA legend's last professional fight. In his last commitment, the 27-year-old won Robert Bryczek in the unanimous decision of the judges, last February.

O UFC 301 will be captained by the fight for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg) between the champion Alexandre pantoja and the Australian Steve Erceg, who only has three fights in the organization.
