On a memorable night at UFC Vegas 90, an event held this Saturday (6), Damon Jackson proved that bravery and overcoming are essential ingredients for success in the octagon. The North American, despite being at a physical disadvantage and almost succumbing to a brutal knockout, demonstrated unshakable confidence and won a major victory by split decision from the judges, against his rival Alexander Hernandez.
The fight, valid in the lightweight category, started tensely, with Jackson aware of Hernandez's brute strength, 1,8kg above the division's limit at the weigh-in the day before.

Hernandez, betting on the power of his strikes, sought an overwhelming knockout, while Jackson, with intelligence, sought to tie up his opponent and exploit the clinch.
The strategy proved effective in the second round, when Jackson dominated the fight on the ground, ending the round in a dominant position.
In the third round, drama took over the Octagon. A devastating blow from Alexander left Damon semi-knocked out, on the brink of defeat. But, in a moment of resilience, the North American got back up, like a wounded warrior, and attacked his opponent.
In the end, overcoming Damon Jackson was rewarded with victory by split decision from the judges.

Chepe Mariscal e Morgan Carriere they staged a real war in the octagon. After three intense rounds and alternating dominance, Mariscal overcame a bleeding eyebrow to beat his opponent in a split decision from the judges. The fight was valid in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg).
Chepe, with the victory, recorded three victories in three fights in the organization. In total, the American has 16 positive results and six negative results in his career.
Morgan, in turn, has a record of one triumph and one setback in two fights in the UFC. The Frenchman has a record of 19 wins and ten losses, as well as a draw in his career in professional MMA.

Ignatius Bahamondes, the “Chilean Missile”, defied the laws of physics by delivering a devastating knockout to Christos Giagos with a high left kick that catapulted him to the top of the octagon.
The spectacular triumph, achieved in the first round, marks the Chilean's tenth knockout victory, consolidating him as one of the most exciting fighters in the lightweight category.
With the win, Bahamondes moves to 15 wins and five losses in his professional career to reinforce his position as one of the most promising fighters in the lightweight division.

In competition for lightweight (up to 70,3kg), Charlie Campbell e Trevor Peek staged one of the best fights in the UFC Las Vegas 90. The duel, marked by the intensity of blows from both fighters, was won by Campbell after three rounds. The confrontation opened the main card of the night.
The 'Cannibal', as he is known, has his third straight victory secured and updates his record of nine triumphs and two setbacks. The North American, in turn, also has the exact same record in his career in professional MMA.
