César Almeida debuts with devastating knockout in the UFC
From the beginning of the fight, the Brazilian was dominant, frustrating Budka's takedown attacks and responding with powerful strikes in his striking. In the second round, the strategy was repeated, but with an even more exciting outcome.
Budka tried once again to take down Cesinha, but the Brazilian defended himself masterfully and, afterwards, unleashed a series of devastating elbows on the American's face. Unable to withstand the pressure, Budka succumbed to a technical knockout at 2 minutes and 13 seconds of the second round.
Cesinha's victory was a true show of strength and technique, consolidating his position as one of the UFC's most promising middleweight fighters. The Brazilian has already demonstrated that he has the potential to go far in the organization and then challenged Chris Weidman.
“There’s a lot to do, but I feel like I’m ready. There's a guy I need to fight here: Weidman, I'm ready for you. Let's see if you can stop me on the ground. Let's go! Whenever you want”, declared Almeida in a post-event interview.
