Gleison Tibau with new opponent at UFC-104

Gleison Tibau

Brazilian Gleison Tibau has a new opponent at UFC-104, an event that takes place on October 24th in Los Angeles, in the United States. Initially scheduled to face former lightweight champion Sean Sherk, the opponent from Rio Grande do Norte suffered a shoulder injury during preparation for the fight and is out of action for four weeks.

To replace Sherk, the UFC called up the experienced Josh Neer, who is coming off a decision loss to Kurt Pellegrino at UFC 101, while Tibau returns to action after a disputed defeat, also by decision, to Melvin Guillard in the “Ultimate Fighter” Finale 9. The Brazilian was coming off victories over Jeremy Stephens and Rich Clementi before his last fight.
