MMA veteran and former UFC representative, Diego Sanchez worried part of the fans when he vented about the traumatic relationship he had with his former coach, Josh Fabia. On social media, the winner of the middleweight tournament (up to 83,9kg.) on TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) 1, explained the experience.

“Over the last two years, I have been through a very traumatic experience. Words cannot explain how terrifying it was. This involves an evil man who manipulated me, blackmailed me, extorted me and eventually ended my UFC career. I've been dealing with this psychopath for three or four years. I gave him money to get out of my life. (…) I am dealing with a mentally unstable man. A sociopath. (…) He is a 'former hitman' who worked for cartels. There is a lot of dark stuff about it, and it left me in a state of fear. I was worried not only about my integrity, but that of my daughter, mother and ex-wife,” said Sanchez.

In 2021, Dana White, president of the UFC, he even warned Diego about what he considered 'inappropriate posture' from coach Josh Fabian. The statement came after the veteran was released by Ultimate.

“I have an incredible relationship with Diego, I really like him and I hope he is well. One of the sad things that happen, not just in fighting, but in sports, are these bizarre weirdos that appear from no one knows where and suck up to athletes. They never do them any good. Somehow, this scoundrel entered Diego's life and controlled him,” White said at the time.Yahoo! Sports'.
