Immediately after the announcement that Mauritius Shogun e Anderson Silva would be the coaches of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4, which will be shown on Brazilian TV from April 2015, the Ultimate organization also announced that the former Chute Boxe training partners would not face each other at the end of the program, as is customary. Apparently, contrary to what was imagined, the determination seems to have come from the direction of the event. This is because, in an interview, Shogun said that he does not aspire to fight Spider, but assured that he would not mind facing him if it were offered to him.

“The UFC called Eduardo (Alonso, his manager) with the news about TUF and also that there would be no fight. We didn't go into details and accepted it. But I'm happy to do TUF. Fighting is something I don't care about. I already trained with Anderson. I don’t care, but I would accept it if the UFC offered it to me”, said the former PRIDE GP champion, on the “Combate” channel website.

Furthermore, Shogun also recalled the work of his team so that he could finally be part of the TUF cast, but assured that he will only dedicate himself to the program after the fight against Ovince St Preux, this Saturday “I was surprised by this great news, of being a TUF coach. Even more so with this living legend, Anderson. Because it's him, there will be a huge repercussion. I was very happy. I received the news in the evening, but I had little time to enjoy it. The next day I returned to the fight. Will be cool. Eduardo fought hard for this, and so did I. Thank God we achieved another goal. But only after Saturday will I be able to focus on TUF”, he guaranteed.
