Considered by fans to be one of the best cards promoted by Ultimate in recent years, the UFC 299, which takes place this Saturday (9), in Miami, in the United States, has the mission of being the numbered event that, logically, precedes the historic UFC 300, scheduled for April 13, in Las Vegas.
With that in mind, the team at SUPER FIGHTS Go back in time and remember what other editions responsible for preceding Ultimate's centenary events were like.

UFC 199 celebrates Bisping and Cruz and presents future champions
If UFC 99 was modest, the same cannot be said about UFC 199, which, although it wasn't as memorable as the 200th edition, marked by the gold canvas in the octagon, came close.
Held in California on June 04, 2016, UFC 199 featured two notable title fights. In the main fight, Michael Bisping crowned his great career by 'breaking the bank' with a knockout over the then middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) Luke Rockhold. In the co-main, Dominick Cruz regained the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg) in victory over his rival Urijah faber.
The event also featured some names that would become champions of the organization in the future. On the preliminary card, the welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) Sean Strickland won Tom Breese in a tight decision, while Jessica Stacker surpassed the 'chará' Jessica penne on the way to the strawweight belt (up to 52,1 kg).
On the main card, Dustin poirier, one of the main stars of UFC 299, knocked out Bobby Green, While Max Holloway, future featherweight legend, surpassed Ricardo Lamas.
