Protagonists of 'Fight of the Night' in UFC 298, Mackenzie dern e Amanda lemos held an epic battle in the Octagon in Anaheim, California (USA). Despite posing danger to her opponent at various times during the fight, the jiu-jitsu world champion ended up being defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. On her social networks, the athlete spoke about her defeat and promised to come back stronger.

Now, it's time to correct the mistakes and continue the hard work! Congratulations to Amanda lemos for an incredible fight! In a duel that lasted three rounds, Mackenzie impressed after enduring violent attacks from Amanda and remaining active in the fight, looking for the submission. Despite the good moments experienced while the fight was on the ground, the fighter was unable to overcome the damage caused by her compatriot while she was standing. In the judges' view, Dern lost two of three rounds.
After accepting the fight at short notice to replace Tatiana Suarez placeholder image, Mackenzie suffered the second setback in a row. The athlete currently occupies seventh place in the UFC strawweight rankings (up to 51,2kg).
