In preparation for another big fight in his career, Robert whittaker expect nothing more than violence in a duel against Paulo borrachinha. Scheduled to face the Brazilian on February 17, at UFC 298, the Australian went against expectations and revealed his support for his rival to perform violently in Anaheim, California (USA).
“All I know is that I trained like I always trained and I come on February 17th, I’m coming for violence and I hope he is too,” Whittaker said in an interview with 'Just Scrap Radio'.

Despite the knockout in his last appearance, Whittaker said he is not afraid of returning to the octagon to face an athlete like Borrachinha.
“Zero, zero hesitation. I was looking for a fight, I wanted to fight sooner, I was looking at the schedule for January or the end of December. They gave me Costa and I quickly accepted. I'm excited for this fight, we've been wanting to cross paths for a while now. He’s a high-caliber guy, I like high-caliber fights, so it made sense for both of us,” he concluded.
Escalated to UFC 298, Whittaker and Borrachinha face each other this Saturday (17) in the penultimate fight of the event. A favorite in the bookmakers, the Australian seeks to defend his third-place position in the middleweight rankings (up to 83,9kg) and take another step towards the category title.
