The wait is finally coming to an end. This weekend, the UFC will have another belt at stake at the Rio de Janeiro event, as José Aldo e Chad Mendes making the long-awaited rematch that will win the organization's featherweight title, in the main attraction of UFC 179.

This Friday (24), all 22 athletes who will participate in the event will have to pass the scales at the official weigh-in, which will start at 16pm official Brasília time. In addition to the athletes who will participate in the fight for the belt, light heavyweights will also be present at the Maracanãzinho gym. Glover Teixeira e Phil Davis, protagonists of the co-main fight of the night, as well as names like Fábio Maldonado and William Patolino.
Both Aldo and Mendes will not be able to weigh more than 65,7 kg on the scale, since, as the fight is valid for the belt, there will be no pound (0,45 kg) tolerance at the weigh-in. Furthermore, two other athletes will have to pass an important test: Yan Cabral and Gilbert Durinho They will fight for the first time at lightweight after moving down from welterweight.
