Six months after announcing his retirement from MMA, Kevin Lee he went back on his decision and declared that he will put on the gloves again. With no time to waste, the sports veteran targeted great Ultimate athletes and did not rule out facing Conor McGregor. Despite his intention, the athlete is going through a delicate phase in his career, where he has accumulated three defeats in the last five fights.
“There are two big fights (that interest me). Tony Ferguson, perhaps the winner or loser of Conor McGregor e Michael chandler,” Lee told 'MiddleEasy'.

Despite the bold statement, the veteran demonstrated that he had the patience to carry out the entire process until entering into negotiations with Ultimate for a possible contract renewal.
“Honestly, I'm not focusing too much on the opponents at the moment. I think I have a long way to go when it comes to getting healthy. Second, get in shape, and third, sign a contract. Then maybe we can look at location and then talk about opponents. Therefore, there is still a long way to go before I think about opponents,” she concluded.

Former challenger for the interim lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.) Kevin Lee entered the final phase after being defeated by Charles of the Bronx in March 2020. In his last appearance, the athlete was submitted by his rival 55 seconds into the fight.
