Highlighted in the middleweight (up to 83,9kg.) of Ultimate, Paulo borrachinha condemned the provocations between Sean Strickland e Dricus Du Plessis on the eve of UFC 297. According to the Brazilian, the attacks may not have the necessary legitimacy to promote the confrontation. The Minas Gerais native also analyzed the style of the athletes fighting for the belt this Saturday (20).
“I think they went a little overboard. Talking about other people's families is not necessary. They need to be more creative. However, if they are real feelings, that's fine. Be truthful. If they aren't, it's too much. I feel bad for them. I feel uncomfortable”, said Borrachinha, in an interview with ‘MMA Fighting’.

Regarding the outcome, Paulo does not have a concrete opinion. The athlete, however, outlined what he expects from the confrontation.
“It's interesting, if you think about their abilities. The two are not famous for their skills, but they are good athletes. They are strange, with different styles. Strickland is not an orthodox fighter, and neither is Dricus. (…) It will be more a fight of disaffection than of skill. I don't know who will win. Anything can happen,” he concluded.
At the weekend, Strickland steps into the Octagon for the first time as middleweight champion. While the North American seeks to maintain his reign, the South African wants to add the unprecedented title in the category.
