The ‘package’ of fights announced by Dana White last Thursday (21) was not just restricted to UFC 298 with Borrachinha x Whittaker, or to the stars UFC 300. The Ultimate president also announced extremely important duels for the events in Mexico City, in February, and Atlantic City, in March.
Ultimate's return to the Mexican capital, scheduled for February 24th, will feature a rematch between the featherweights (up to 65,7 kg) Yair Rodriguez e Brian ortega, in a duel played over five rounds. The two will face each other again more than a year and a half after their first meeting, held in July 2022, when Ortega suffered a shoulder injury in the first round, paving the way for Rodriguez's technical knockout, which would become interim champion of the category later.

Despite being fought over five rounds, the duel between Rodriguez and Ortega is the co-main fight of the UFC Mexico, which will have as its main attraction the duel between the former champion Brandon Moreno e amir albazi, flies (up to 56,7 kg).
The UFC Atlantic City, scheduled for March 30th, received as reinforcement the duel that should define. the next challenger for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg). Second placed in the ranking, Erin Blanchfield faces third place Manon Fiorot. Both are undefeated in Ultimate and haven't known what it's like to lose for over four years.
