After the cancellation of the third edition of Affliction, which would take place on August 1st, new rumors about the departure of Fedor Emelianenko for the UFC are growing again in the United States.
In statements published by the American website MMA Mania, the president of Ultimate, Dana White stated that he will spare no effort to bring the Russian to the organization.
“My job is to put the best fighters in Ultimate. I've been trying to (sign) Fedor for UFC because you want him. Believe me, I’m trying to make that happen,” Dana said. The director also stated that Fedor will fight for the title in his first fight in the octagon.
“He (Fedor) will fight for the title first, he has the experience for that, but Fedor has to reach an agreement first”, concluded the president.
