“This is his (Covington) fourth title fight. I feel like he knows it's the last one. About what's at stake for me, how much it cost me to achieve this, I feel like we both have a lot to prove. So I'm 100% focused on the best Colby. I know he's been out of action for almost two years. I can't see what he can do. I am active. I'm the youngest. He hasn't beaten anyone under 35 or 36 since I don't know when. If you're judging his victories over Robbie Lawler, Tyron woodley e Jorge masvidal, he will have a shock with what will happen on the day of the fight”, promised the champion.

Known as one of the biggest 'talkers' in MMA, Colby covington has been spicing up the title fight with his usual controversial statements. Edwards, however, guarantees that everything goes in one ear and out the other.

“He's always playing a character and some of the s*** he says doesn't even make sense to me. He said he was going to payback for the war that happened in the United States and I thought: 'Man, I don't even know what you're talking about.” I think that guy is a clown, but I'm focused on getting in there, finishing him, defending my belt for the second time and continuing my journey. He’s just another guy in my path and I’m going to finish him off,” he concluded.
