Undefeated in MMA, Khabib's cousin promises to submit Sean O'Malley and win the bantamweight belt

Member of the top-15 in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg), the Russian Umar Nurmagomedov it already targets the elite of the category. In conversation with journalists and fans in Abu Dhabi (UAE), where the UFC 294, Khabib's pupil drew a comparison between the last two owners of the belt and said that he would have no difficulty beating either of them.

“I think I can attack him, fight however I want. I think I’m going to finish him off: take him down, choke him and finish him,” said Umar.

The Russian drew a comparison between O'Malley and Sterling and said he would beat either of them without much work.

“Sterling I think is more dangerous in wrestling and grappling. If he catches you from behind, it will be very difficult for you to leave. Sean O'Malley, he's really good at switching. I don’t think both of them can bother me”, concluded the Russian.

Twelfth in the rankings, Umar is undefeated in professional MMA with 16 consecutive victories. At 27 years old, Khabib's protégé has four fights in the UFC and has beaten Sergey Morozov, brian kelleher, Nate Maness e Raoni barcelos, respectively. The Russian still does not have a date set for his next appointment at the company.
