“I'm ready to fight in January, February, March, April, May, whatever. We will see. Obviously, it makes a lot of sense for there to be a historical card. They haven't told me when it will be, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. And if it is, I have more and more time to prepare. I've never had so much time to prepare for a certain guy, a certain opponent. Me and my team, we’re going to put together a game plan and knock this guy out in the first or second round,” Chandler said.

Absent from the octagon since July 2021, when he suffered a serious injury in the trilogy against Dustin poirier, Conor continues with his irregular status with USADA (National Anti-Doping Agency). To be able to return to the UFC, the Irishman needs to undergo at least six months of tests and prove that he is clean.

Number five in the lightweight rankings, Chandler hasn't stepped into the octagon since November 2022 when he was submitted by Dustin poirier No. UFC 281. Former title challenger, 'Iron' has an MMA record of 23 wins and just three setbacks.
