Jim Miller and five more athletes received an indefinite medical suspension after UFC Fight Night 45, held last Wednesday (16) in Atlantic City, New Jersey (USA).
The North American, defeated in the main fight of the night by knockout to Donald Cerrone, will only be released if ultrasound examinations are performed on the abdominal region and right arm. In the second round of the fight, Miller felt a kick in his abdomen, paving the way for Cerrone to win. If he is released, Miller must spend 30 days without physical contact due to the knockout defeat.
In addition to Miller, Alptekin Ozkilic (defeated by John Lineker), Alex White (defeated by lucas mineiro), Tina Lahdemaki (defeated by Claudia Gadelha), Jessamyn Duke and Jerrod Sanders. Release will only be given if tests are presented that eliminate any type of injury.
Among the seven Brazilians who participated in the event, the only one to receive a medical suspension was Hugo Wolverine. Defeated by aljamain sterling on the preliminary card of the attraction, the former TUF Brazil star must spend 30 days without activity due to the technical knockout suffered.
