Another Brazilian athlete who would have performed at the canceled UFC 176, which was to take place on August 2nd, had her fight transferred to another event. The Ultimate organization announced that Beth Pitbull will face American Shayna Baszler at UFC 177, on August 30, in Sacramento (USA).

The duel between Bethe and Shayna marks the second chapter in a series marked by rivalry. That's because, after beating Jessamyn Duke at UFC 172, the Brazilian sent a message to the “Four Horsewomen” group, saying that she had already beaten one of its members and now there were three others left. In addition to Duke and Baszler, Marina Shafir and the champion Ronda Rousey.

At 31 years old, Bethe “Pitbull” Correia has an undefeated professional record of eight victories. The native of Rio Grande do Norte debuted in the UFC in December last year and since then has won, by decision of the judges, both of her fights. Shayna Baszler, 33 years old, has a record of 15 wins and eight losses. Considered one of the pioneers of female MMA, the “Queen of Swords” was part of the TUF 18 cast and is preparing to debut in Ultimate.
