That famous saying 'The least of evils', at this moment, needs to be read and (quite a lot) celebrated by Chris Weidman. After the duel with Brad Tavares No. UFC 292, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) feared a new serious injury, however, after undergoing further tests last week, the 'All American' breathed a sigh of relief as he had 'just' a fracture in his left leg and revealed that it will take four weeks to recover and be ready to return to training.

“What happened to me is that I had a fracture in my left leg. So, I think he (Brad Tavares) broke my leg with one of those kicks. I ended up finding out when I got back home. But I discovered that my leg was fractured. I had MRIs on the tibia and fibula on both legs, I had MRIs on both knees, X-rays. There was no ligament rupture. So... 'ACL, LCL, MCL, PCL' all those 'Ls' that you don't want to bust because it's six months to a year of recovery. God kept them together. The ligaments are good,” Weidman said on the 'Won't Back Down' podcast.
