And the 'law' of the featherweight division (up to 65,9kg) continues to apply. If you are not called Alexander Volkanovsky, there’s no point in going up to the octagon and measuring strength against the former champion Max Holloway. This Saturday morning (26), in the main fight of UFC Singapore, the 'Blessed' showed once again why he is the 'Uncrowned King' of the category and knocked out the experienced Korean zombie spectacularly in the first seconds of the third round.

In his last 21 fights at featherweight, Holloway has been defeated just three times and all of them by the current champion Alexander Volkanovsky. Dreaming of a quadrilogy, the Hawaiian remains number one in the rankings and now boasts a record of 25 triumphs and seven setbacks.

A0s 36 years old, Zumbi announced his retirement from the sport while still in the Octagon on the microphones of Michael Bisping. Former division challenger, the South Korean hangs up his gloves with a record of 17 positive results and eight negative results in just over 15 years of career.

The two fighters started the duel studying each other a lot, with Zumbi trying to time his blows, while Holloway circled around and just threatened to enter his rival's range of action. Zumbi tried to explode, but received a counterattack that made him wobble and quickly retreated to avoid being knocked out. The two fighters maintained respect for their rival's punching power and the confrontation continued to be well studied. Zumbi exploded once again and landed a heavy jab to the former champion's face. The South Korean continued to scare Max with 'surprise' right blows and the first sound of the gong drew euphoric screams from the audience in Singapore.

Holloway returned more aggressively for the second round and quickly landed a blow that knocked his rival down. Max quickly went for the submission attempt, managed to squeeze in, but Zumbi resisted and stayed alive for endless seconds. Zumbi soon got up and the two fighters returned to the center of the cage. The frank exchange continued between the two fighters, with the former champion alternating blows to Zumbi's waist and face, who returned practically all the attacks that the 'Blessed' launched.
